SC Cruises has been hard at work expanding its already impressive fleet, and now the luxury cruise line has given passengers a sneak peek inside its new ship. MSC Seaview has already made waves with passengers since setting off on its maiden voyage in early June, and it’s not difficult to see why.
The grandiose ship offers up an epic entertainment programme, elegant cabins and a plethora of dining options, not to mention it also boasts some brilliant family-friendly features. No expense has been spared – in fact, the ship is estimated to have cost around €700 million to build (approx £616million).
The 13th ship to join the fleet, it’s the third one to have launched in the space of 12 months following MSC Seaside and MSC Meraviglia; and of course, the glamorous Sophia Loren is her godmother. MSC Seaview made her maiden voyage to Genoa earlier this month, and will sail on enchanting itineraries across the Mediterranean and even South America.
The ship can hold up to 5,331 passengers but with approximately 463,000 sq.ft. of public space, guests won’t be left fighting for a bit of room by the pool or in one of the fine dining restaurants.
As for the cabins, there’s a plethora of choice thanks to the nine different types of cabin on offer, ranging from elegant inside cabins to the deluxe Yacht Club suites.
In fact, there are 88 luxurious suites across the decks – and 28 even have their own whirlpool baths for total pampering.
Each of the rooms offers up huge, comfortable beds, televisions, ensuite bathrooms with gloriously big tubs and showers, as well as all the amenities you could want from a coffee machine to free Wi-Fi.
Families can even opt for connecting cabins which can accommodate 6-10 people, with each room boasting its own bathroom and balcony.
Or if you want to go all out, it’s worth looking at the two-bedroom Grand Suites which of course boast all of the luxurious touches MSC is known for – and until winter 2019, the Wellness Grand Suites even come equipped with Technogym Kinesis so you can work out from the comfort of your room.
For those who do manage to tear themselves away from their rooms, there’s a wide range of entertainment on offer to suit every type of holidaymaker from couples to families.
For example, kids and teenagers will no doubt be flocking to the ship’s awesome multi-storey aqua park which boasts five different water slides – including two racing slides – as well as an AquaPlay area for tiny tots.
The really brave can even take on the ship’s 120 metre-long zip line; a great chance to take in epic sea views if you manage to keep your eyes open!
Then of course there are dedicated kids’ and teenagers’ clubs with a host of activities and even games rooms, not to mention families can spend some quality time together at the two bowling alleys.
Then of course there are the West End style shows on offer at the theatre, with seven different productions and three shows a night – and no need to fight for a space as there will be 934 seats for guests.
