How To Clean Marble Floors

Do you want to know how to clean marble floors and make it glimmer again? Having marble flooring signifies elegance and somewhat tells us the level of our social stature. Most of the prominent structures, buildings, and architectural sensations have luxurious marble floors. But if it’s full stubborn dirt and grime then it will lose its eye-catching character and class. Marble floors have to be maintained properly and regularly. Check out the easy steps below in making your marble floor rejuvenated.

Before we proceed with the cleaning, you need to have the following things within your convenience. Cleaning your marble floors conveniently will make not only make it glisten even more but also saves you a great deal of time.

Things You’ll Need :

  • Warm water
  • Bucket
  • Mop
  • Ammonia (only if necessary)
  • Neutral pH cleaners
  • Soft cloths
  • Marble cleaner and/or polish

Step 1 – Fill Bucket With Warm Water

Fill your bucket with warm water. Since water is a natural solvent, when it is warm it can loosen grimes on the floor.

Step 2 – Mop The Floor

Wet your mop and wipe it on the floor. You can create small figure 8 circles when doing it.

Step 3 – Use Ammonia or Neutral ph Cleaner

When chemicals are dissolved in water, the mixture’s pH level can become eitheracidic or basic (alkaline). Vinegar and lemon juice are acidic substances, while laundry detergent and ammonia are basic. With a pH level of 7.0, pure water is neutral.

If the floor has persistent dirt and grime you may want to mop it twice and add ammonia or a neutral floor cleaner to the water.

Step 4 –  Rinse The Floor

Rinse the floor with warm water and remove the excess solution.

This should happen at least every two weeks in order to reduce allergens.” If you have tile or linoleum floors, use a cleaner every two weeks to mop and address spills. Wood flooring only needs dusting once monthly, and an occasional spray with a wood cleaner to create luster and remove gunk.

tep 5 –  Dry And Polish The Floor

To dry your floor, wipe the floor with the use of a clean cloth to avoid water spots. You can wrap the cloth around your mop and soak up the excess water. Then use a marble cleaner and polish your floor to restore its true grandeur.

Marble floors are truly elegant so they must be cleaned and maintained well. And other than that, it is hypoallergenic so those people with asthma or those that are allergic to carpets and certain kinds of wood will not experience an attack. And since having a marble floor implies class, I’m thinking of changing my man cave’s floor because a real gentleman has class and distinction.
